Types of Service
The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which provides that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in the provision of public transit services. Golden Gate Ferry operates daily service (except New Year's, Thanksgiving, and Christmas days) between Sausalito, Tiburon (weekdays only), and Larkspur in Marin County and San Francisco, at varying intervals of 15 to 120 minutes, depending on the time of the day, day of the week, and season.
Special Ferry Services: Golden Gate Ferry also operates special ferry service to San Francisco Giants home games and various concerts and events at Oracle Park, early morning service to the annual Bay to Breakers footrace in May, and began operating to Chase Center for Golden State Warriors games and events in fall 2019. Service to Chase Center is currently suspended.
Larkspur Ferry Shuttles: Route 25 is currently suspended. Ferry shuttle routes provide service to/from the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. Route 25 provides peak period service on weekdays, except holidays.
Days of Service
Golden Gate Larkspur and Sausalito Ferry operate daily, with reduced service on weekends and specific holidays (Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas week). Golden Gate Tiburon Ferry operates weekday commute service only.
