• Golden Gate Bridge History and Engineering Exhibition: Physical exhibits that are on display at the Golden Gate Bridge Visitor Area near the south tower allow visitors the opportunity to learn more about the engineering and history of the Bridge. This project was funded by the National Science Foundation to support STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning. An online version of these physical exhibits adds resources for teachers and students and information about an offsite exhibit, and provides additional photos and links to outside resources.

• Golden Gate Bridge History & Research: Visit the History & Research section of our website to learn about Bridge construction, unique features, anniversaries, and statistics and data. 
• Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary Website: This website captures the Bridge's 75th anniversary celebration that took place in May 2012, and a partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy for visitor experience improvements at the Bridge plaza.

  • The Towers of the Golden Gate Bridge - The two Bridge towers rise 746 feet into the air.
  • Golden Gate Bridge: Doing the Math - Charles A. Ellis computed dozens of factors and completed the Bridge's overall design in four months.
  • Beginning Construction of the Bridge - Bridge construction began in January 1933. Workers excavated 3.25 million cubic feet of dirt.
