Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week, and occasionally on Saturdays, to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Monday, December 8, through Saturday, December 13, 2025
- Overnight Monday, December 8, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, December 9, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, December 10, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, December 11, no lane closures needed between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, December 12, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
- Overnight Saturday, December 13, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
