On Wednesday, February 11, and Thursday, February 12, two southbound lanes on the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed during roadway maintenance from 9 am to 1 pm. Traffic on the Bridge will remain open in both directions, but drivers should expect to slow down around construction zones and may experience delays while the lane closures are in effect.
Maintenance performed will include pothole and asphalt repairs. Work is expected to be completed by 1:00 pm both days, at which time the Bridge will be returned to a three southbound and three northbound lane configuration.
Staff will monitor traffic and weather prior to implementing the lane closure and cancel work if necessary. Should the scheduled Wednesday work be cancelled, this news item will be updated.
