Route 31 - Golden Gate Transit's ferry shuttle that has carried riders between the San Rafael Transit Center and Larkspur Ferry Terminal since 2017 - will NO LONGER operate after Friday, December 13, 2019, with the extension of SMART passenger train service to Larkspur (set to begin Saturday, December 14).
SMART's Larkspur Station is located about a 1/4-mile (12-15 minute walk) from the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal. Connection times between the train arrival and departing ferry (and vice versa) ranges from 24 to 39 minutes.
SMART will continue to operate its current schedule through the end of 2019 with the new Larkspur and Downtown Novato stations open for passenger service. SMART will roll out a new schedule effective Wednesday, January 1, 2020. For more information, visit the SMART website.
