Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.

- Overnight Monday, October 28, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, October 29, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, October 30, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 northbound lane and 2 southbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, October 31, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 northbound lane and 2 southbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, November 1, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
