Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Monday, April 15 through Saturday, April 20, 2024
- Overnight Monday, April 15, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, April 16, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, April 17, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, April 18, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, April 19: the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 northbound lane and 2 southbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
- Overnight Saturday, April 20: the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 northbound lane and 2 southbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Sunday morning).
