This holiday season, the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) shows its support of local food banks with a holiday bus beautifully wrapped with an image of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear winter evening.
The Golden Gate Transit holiday bus has become an annual tradition and is much loved by commuters, passersby, and employees! This season's bus is a rolling reminder to all San Francisco Bay Area residents of those less fortunate in our communities and of easy ways to give.
The District supports the San Francisco-Marin and Redwood Empire food banks and encourages you to help end hunger in your community by contributing to your local food bank. For information about donating to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, visit sfmfoodbank.org. For information about donating to the Redwood Empire Food Bank, visit refb.org.
The holiday bus will be assigned to random Golden Gate Transit bus routes through January 2020. Keep your eyes open for it and share your photos of the bus on the road via social media with the #GGTHolidayBus and #HowToGive hashtags.
Happy Holidays from the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District!
