Until further notice, Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry are operating reduced services due to the coronavirus pandemic to better match service to current ridership and staffing levels. As additional service cancellations become necessary, we will be maintaining all service adjustments in the tables below AND on our schedules pages - Bus Schedules & Maps and Ferry Schedules & Maps. 

Per local and federal health officials, all Golden Gate bus and ferry riders over 2 years of age are required to wear a face mask or face covering while boarding and riding in one of our vehicles or vessels.

Beginning February 24, 2021, Golden Gate Transit and Ferry, Marin Transit, and SMART are offering free rides to customers taking transit to and from vaccination sites! Riders need to present physical or digital confirmation of their same-day vaccine appointment at time of boarding. This joint effort by Marin County transit agencies is aimed at reducing transportation and cost barriers for community members to receive the vaccine.

Beginning June 15, 2021, Golden Gate Transit and Ferry will eliminate social distancing requirements on its buses and ferries (except for the 6-foot distancing requirement around the bus operator area).

Golden Gate Ferry (info subject to change)

Effective March 8, 2021, due to the removal of the ferry float for emergency repairs, all ferry service to/from Sausalito will be suspended. Replacement bus service is available to riders. Learn more at Sausalito Ferry Service Replaced with Bus Service during Temporary Removal of Sausalito Float. 

Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal parking lot will be used as a mass vaccination site, in a partnership with Marin County and Curative. Learn more at Drive-Through Vaccinations Coming to Larkspur Ferry Terminal. Ample customer parking will remain for ferry customers.

Until further notice, to better match service with ridership levels, save fuel and reduce emissions, and help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Golden Gate Ferry weekday commute ferry service has been reduced, some trip times have been adjusted, and weekend ferry service has been suspended.

Additionally, service to the Chase Center and Oracle Park in San Francisco for basketball and baseball games has been suspended, also until further notice.
