Tickets & Clipper

Ferry tickets and adult Clipper cards may be purchased from terminal ticket machines in Larkspur, Sausalito, and San Francisco. Clipper is the recommended fare payment method and offers ferry customers a discounted fare.

Tickets are valid for 90 days from purchase date and are useable on any Golden Gate Ferry departure (except Giants Ferry). Tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, cannot be exchanged, and are not refundable. Proper identification is not needed when purchasing a youth or senior/disabled ticket, but proper identification may need to be presented at the fare gate.

When riding from Tiburon and Sausalito, tickets and Clipper payments are collected when disembarking in San Francisco. If you’re not paying with Clipper, please see an attendant for information about ticket purchase. Golden Gate Ferry NO LONGER accepts Blue and Gold tickets purchased online unless they were previously purchased for travel to Angel Island ONLY.

Where to Buy Clipper:

  • Mobile Payment - RECOMMENDED!: Use Apple Pay or Google Pay to add Clipper Card to your mobile wallet and pay via phone, instructions here >>
